evoLeadGate

A YOOtheme element that builds the whole form and protects the download.

One builder element creates the form, hands the file only to people who leave their email and stores every lead in the Joomla database with its consents. It adds optional double opt-in, anti-spam, analytics events and a lead panel with CSV export.

Everything from one element

Fields, file, texts, consent, delivery mode and analytics are set in the \"Lead magnet\" builder element. No separate form plugin and no code.

A download that cannot be skipped

The file sits in a private folder. It is only served through a temporary link created after the form is submitted.

Leads in your own database

Each lead is stored in Joomla with its fields, both consents with the exact text accepted, the UTM source and the downloads made.

Control over the data

Retention is set with a scheduled task, the IP can be stored in full or anonymised, and Joomla's privacy plugin exports and deletes one person's data.

  • Instant delivery with an email, or email only with double opt-in
  • Private folder and an expiring download link (7 days by default)
  • Anti-spam with a honeypot field, minimum fill time and a per-IP submission limit
  • Mandatory privacy checkbox and an optional marketing checkbox
  • dataLayer, gtag (Google Ads) and fbq (Meta) events with an event_id per submission
  • Lead panel with filters, detail view, deletion and CSV export
  • Read-only REST API and optional tools for evoMCP

Who it is for

For anyone building lead magnet landing pages on Joomla and YOOtheme Pro who wants the leads stored on their own site. If you need native CRM connectors, it does not include them.

Limits

  • One file per form, and it must be in the images/evoleadgate-privado/ folder.
  • No connectors to CRMs or external services; you read leads from the panel, the REST API or a Joomla event.
  • Protection of the folder depends on the web server. On Nginx you must add your own rule, and the "Check protection" button warns you if it is not applied.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need YOOtheme Pro?

Yes. evoLeadGate is an element of the YOOtheme Pro 5 builder, and the form is configured there.

Where are the leads stored?

In tables of your own Joomla database. The extension does not send leads to any external service.

What happens when the subscription expires?

The extension keeps working. You only stop receiving updates until you renew.

Can I export the leads?

Yes, to CSV from the panel, with its own permission for exporting. There is also a read-only REST API.

Do I have to schedule a task?

For retention to work, yes. Create the \"evoLeadGate: data retention\" task in Joomla's scheduled tasks; without it, IP addresses are not cleared by age and expired leads are never deleted.
