Capture without own cookies

The origin is stored in the Joomla session from the first frontend page. It adds no JavaScript and no cookies of its own.

All logging is off by default

Logging visits and storing lead attribution are two switches that ship turned off. You decide when anything is written to the database.

Less detail the longer it is kept

Detailed visits for 90 days, lead attribution for 24 months, and anonymous monthly statistics with no limit. You can change the first two periods.

  • Captures utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign and the first-contact external referer
  • Click identifiers gclid, gbraid, wbraid, msclkid and fbclid

Who it is for

For Joomla sites that need to attribute sales or leads to a source and want to decide what data is kept and for how long. If you want behavioural analytics inside the site, this is not the tool.

Limits

  • A visit is logged only if the session carries an origin (UTM, external referer or click identifier); direct traffic with no parameters creates no row.
  • Lead attribution depends on another extension triggering the onEvooriginLead event when it creates the lead.
  • It does not do behavioural analytics inside the site, such as heatmaps or click tracking.

Frequently asked questions

Does it write anything to the database as soon as it is installed?

No. Session capture works straight away, but visit logging and lead attribution ship turned off.

Does it use cookies?

It creates no cookies of its own. It reuses the Joomla session and, if you configure it, reads your banner cookie so that it logs only visitors who accepted.

What happens to visits after 90 days?

The daily purge adds them to anonymous monthly counters and deletes the detail. The period is a setting.

Can I read the data from outside the admin panel?

Yes. There is a read-only REST API and tools for evoMCP. None of them returns the full IP.

Which legal basis do I need?

Each installation decides that with its own adviser. The documentation describes which data is processed and for how long, without taking a position on the legal basis.
