# Uninstalling evoMCP

## Before you uninstall

1. Under Components → evoMCP → Connections, revoke or delete the connections. Revoking makes the token stop working at once. Deleting removes the connection and keeps the audit log.
2. If you use OAuth, remove the connector in the client (Claude, ChatGPT) so it stops trying to connect.
3. If you want to keep the audit log or the approvals, export them first. Under Users → Privacy you can export one user's data. \[PENDIENTE: there is no complete audit export from the panel; confirm how keeping it is recommended\]
4. Back the site up.

## Uninstall

1. Open System → Manage → Extensions, filter by type "Package" and uninstall `pkg_evomcp`. Joomla uninstalls the ten extensions that make it up.
2. On the same screen, check that no extension whose name starts with `evomcp` or `evoMCP` remains.

The plugins of other evo extensions (evoLeadGate, evoOrigin) that register tools for evoMCP belong to those extensions and are not uninstalled with this package.

## What stays on the site

evoMCP's uninstaller does not delete data. After uninstalling, these remain:

| What remains | Where |
| --- | --- |
| Ten evoMCP tables with your prefix: connections, audit, usage, request counters, OAuth clients, OAuth codes, OAuth grants, approvals, provenance and pre-change backups | Database |
| The scheduled task "evomcp: mantenimiento", with no plugin to run it | System → Scheduled Tasks |
| Table backups made by the advanced layer, named `<table>_bak_evomcp_<date>`. The maintenance task used to delete them after 30 days and no longer runs | Database |
| Content an assistant created or changed: articles, pages, settings. It is not reverted | Your site |
| Changes that were approved and executed | Your site |

This keeps traceability if you install again. If you reinstall, the tables are reused.

## Clearing the data by hand

Only if you are sure you will not reinstall and do not need the audit log. Back the tables up first, for example with `CREATE TABLE ... AS SELECT`.

1. Under System → Scheduled Tasks, delete "evomcp: mantenimiento".
2. Drop the tables. Replace `#__` with your installation's prefix:

```
DROP TABLE IF EXISTS
  `#__evomcp_connections`, `#__evomcp_audit`, `#__evomcp_usage`, `#__evomcp_rate`,
  `#__evomcp_oauth_clients`, `#__evomcp_oauth_codes`, `#__evomcp_oauth_grants`,
  `#__evomcp_approvals`, `#__evomcp_provenance`, `#__evomcp_backups`;
```

1. If you used the advanced layer, find and drop any `<table>_bak_evomcp_<date>` tables left behind:

```
SHOW TABLES LIKE '%\_bak\_evomcp\_%';
```

Each table is removed with `DROP TABLE` and its full name. Dropping `#__evomcp_audit` loses the audit chain, and it cannot be recovered without a backup.
